Board and Train Gun Dog program



We have a world class Gun Dog training program. We offer Basic and Advanced training. We have everything we need to make an amazing dog out our back door. We have a beautiful property with a swimby pond and larger ponds in the back we use for training and duck hunting. We use modern training methods that produce happy confident dogs.



Board and Train Gun Dog Program
this program is for the owner who wants us to train and board the dog at our facilty. We offer a basic and advanced program Starting with our basics Program. Some dogs will advance quicker and some it will take longer.





Board and Train program Basics
This is a great program for a hunting dog. Your dog will have the skills to go hunting and be asset in the blind and field. Some dogs advance quicker and some it takes longer.





First Month



Puppy Development. This is the foundation for developing a puppy's future. ​We start with leash work teaching here, heal, place and introducing them to puppy marks and walking singles. Developing the puppy's natural ability to retrieve and marked downed birds/ bumpers.



Second Month



This is when we start our conditioned retrieve. Teaching Hold, fetch with dumbbells, bumper and eventually birds. Still doing leash work and marks,



Third Month



Continuing with the conditioned retrieve and advancing into delivery to hand and running remote and steadying and delivery. At this stage if you are planning on advanced training and handling, we will start three hand casting. Still doing leash work and working on leave it fetch drills with dumbbell bumpers and birds. Advancing marks and working on gun Shot acclimation with marks



Fourth Month



We will be putting it all together. Enforcing commands and collar conditioning known commands. Teaching the remote retrieve to the ground blind. Doing marks on land water and gunshot acclimation with bumper/birds. Steading and adding cover and distance on retrieves.



Fifth Month



This month we will proofing everything and using lots of birds/decoys gunshot acclimation and hunting scenarios. Land marks and water marks and advancing distance and difficulty. Working through decoys and working with the owner teaching them taught commands and how to maintain and handle your dog.



Advanced Training





Our advanced program is for people who want a dog that can run blind Retrieves and is part of out transition program for folks who want a solid foundation to run hunt test/ Field Trials.



Once your dog has been through our basics program, we will start our advanced program, Starting with teaching three hand casting. Left and right overs. Still doing field work with marks on land and water.
